4:59 Government Solutions is a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) application approval expected shortly. 4:59 Government Solutions is also a Virginia Small Woman and Minority (SWAM) certified company. 4:59 is organized to conduct business with Federal, State and Local governments and is able to accept government purchase cards.
The Federal Government recognizes the contributions of Service Disabled Veterans in the defense of liberty, as such, companies owned and managed by Service Disabled Veterans are able to compete for government prime contracts that are set-aside. The Federal Government has mandated that each department and agency will make a minimum goal of 3% for procurement through SDVOSBs worth an estimated $8 Billion annually. Also, prime contractors are mandated by the same statues worth an estimated $88 Billion annually.
The laws governing this program are Public Law 108-183, Public Law 106-50 and Executive Order 13360.
A new law enacted in June 2007, gives SDVOSBs priority within the Department of Veterans Affairs. Read more about Public Law 109-461.
